At the tender age of one, my son has already had more exposure to the judicial system than some people do in a lifetime. As two busy working parents, my wife and I tag team so we can provide our son with all the love, care, and attention he so richly deserves. I've held late night phone conferences while I have rocked him in my arms, he's accompanied me to court when I've had to file documents urgently, and he has slept peacefully beside me while I have held meetings with my instructing solicitor. My children bring a brightness to my days and are my inspiration for the work that I do—especially when my work as an immigration barrister involves striving to reunite families. I carry my children in my heart, and I am grateful that my job has given me opportunities to have legal adventures together with my son.
